[Bug 1906316] Re: Xorg crash
I do not understand why this is so complicated. You dont see Microsoft or apple or google asking you to log in to a web page and diddle with some kind of ticket system... just ask for permission and collect the info. If you need to probe more and dig deeper, fine... go a head... Ask if you may contact the user... why all this? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1906316 Title: Xorg crash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1906316/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1894097] [NEW] Unable to switch from HSP to A2DP on BOSE blutoot headphones
Public bug reported: I have a Bose NC 700 pair of headphones. The device works correctly with Android and Windows (al be it more cumbersome and confusing in Windows). Device: Firmware 1.5.1-9303+d287f23 GUID: 5c097385-cd87-d8dd-bab9-4c726a0ac560 I am available to test. Problem 1: I am required to click on the "connect" toggle button for the Bluetooth audio device about 20 - 30 times to make it connect. This is also true for other speakers as for example JBL Bluetooth speakers. Problem 2: BOSE Headset/Gnome BT Audio configuration. I am unable to switch between HSP/DSP mode to A2DP Sink. The device remains connected as a communication device and not as an audio device. I remain stuck with mono sound. Though the gnome control panel indicates that I have indeed switched to A2DP Sink. However, when I click "test" I only get the mono test and the sound is absolutely unusable. Because there is a microphone on the headphones, Gnome control panel and the underlying Bluetooth service refuse to change from HSP/DSP. Clearly this is not by design. [Bug 1725865] Re: Network shows Cable Unplugged
To re enable the network after suspended mode I found that this works: 22:07:23-root@Seth:~$ rmmod r8169 22:11:22-root@Seth:~$ modprobe r8169 Unloading the driver and then reloading it brings the interface back up. unplugging the cable did not, nor did any network manager commands that I tried. My take on this is that the driver is not properly loaded back up after the PC has suspended. This problem must be in the kernel somehow since pulling the driver and re-inserting it worked. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1725865 Title: Network shows Cable Unplugged To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/network-manager/+bug/1725865/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 798414] Re: update-initramfs should produce a more helpful error when there isn't enough free space
This is an extremely dangerous bug since it prevents further updates. The package manager does not complete actions until this is resolved. Few non-sys admins will know how to get around this. [Bug 480941] Re: everything crashed...
I I knew what the problem was I would tell you... the problem is that X just crashed... all of a sudden. I uploaded a core tile I think... so that should have the info you need. Why do I have to be involved like a developer testing something anyway? On Windows and MAC they simply ask if you want to help make the product better, and they collect info and submit it anonymously. I do not have to go to a web page and create an account, and log in, and describe this that and the other... This is not how you get customers from the other platforms to come to Ubuntu. I know that Ubuntu is free, but this just enforces the perception that free is not as good as commercial software. I know that Ubuntu wants more people to use Ubuntu; and this process for handling software issues is detrimental to that effort. As a user, I was using Ubuntu (standard stuff; INTERNET, etc.) and blink! It all crashed. If you do not know why, this process of handling bugs is the bug report. As a user: 1, I was browsing the Internet 2, I expect it not to blow up 3, It blew up... Sorry if I do not have any more details... I had added this, which is not to be expected of ANY normal user: ** Attachment added: core http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35549819/core ** Attachment added: .home.stephans..cache.ubuntuone.log.oauth.login.log.txt http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35549821/.home.stephans..cache.ubuntuone.log.oauth.login.log.txt ** Attachment added: Dependencies.txt http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35549822/Dependencies.txt ** Attachment added: UbuntuoneClientPackages.txt http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35549823/UbuntuoneClientPackages.txt ** Attachment added: XsessionErrors.txt http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35549824/XsessionErrors.txt - Show quoted text - -- everything crashed... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/480941 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
