[Bug 1579142] Re: Evince windows cannot be resized after upgrade to Xenial
The same problem in kubuntu 18.04 and evince 3.28.4. However, I have noticed the following: window resizing works in the top of the window but not in the bottom or sides (so you can change the hight). If you press alt and the right button of the mouse, resizing may work in all directions, but it is unpredictable, may depend on the pdf. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1579142 Title: Evince windows cannot be resized after upgrade to Xenial To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/1579142/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 231864] Re: Renaming files (changing capitalization) on external USB fat32 drives not allowed
My two step work around for this was to for example name example.TXT to example.TX? where ? is any other character but the original uppercase character X then rename example.TX? to example.txt. Seems to work OK but what a pain in the posterior. -- Renaming files (changing capitalization) on external USB fat32 drives not allowed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231864 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 500617] [NEW] No dynamic detailed description displayed
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: software-center Ubuntu 9.10 The old Add/Remove Applications (gnome-app-install) had 3 panels, one of which dynamically displayed a detailed description of each package when highlighted. Re: [Bug 319187] Re: Calc-Date/Times Handled incorrectly
Thanks for your 3 replies. Two of us have looked at your replies and are not certain how to respond. It is obvious by inspection that the difference between the two dates is NOT 1900 years. We decided the best was to restate the human intended goal: put in two dates and times in one cell each; format the both cells MM/DD/ HH:MM:SS [a non User defined format, i.e. a 'standard' format.] Now the human wants to know: How many years, months, days, hours, minutes, seconds are there between the two? It would seem one should be able to subtract between the two and display the results in a third cell. If so, what is the format that should be applied to third cell? If not, why? Next, to us, by the still existing uncertainty, leads credence to one of our bug points: there needs to be more documentation, explanation, on date and time usage and/or formats. --- On Wed, 1/21/09, Chris Cheney cche...@ubuntu.com wrote: From: Chris Cheney cche...@ubuntu.com Subject: [Bug 319187] Re: Calc-Date/Times Handled incorrectly To: wh06fnem-...@yahoo.com Date: Wednesday, January 21, 2009, 1:40 PM If you expand your formatting to :MM:DD:hh:mm:ss you see this: 1899:12:31:11:26:02 1899:12:31:11:26:02 1900:01:19:13:00:11 1900:01:19:13:00:11 And the calc basis date is 1899/12/30 So it looks like you are just using this format incorrectly, please follow up letting me know where you found that the D / DD code means something other than day of the month. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org Ubuntu 7.10 - the Gutsy Gibbon openoffice.org-calc 1.2.3.0-1ubuntu5.3 What expected to happen: Enter Date AND time in one cell, via either: Keyboard OR Copy/Paste from web page, inserting as text or html Format cell MM/DD/ HH:MM:SS Enter function Now() in another cell, formatted MM/DD/ HH:MM:SS Subtracted entered value from Now() value to get Time in between Format cell DD:HH:MM:SS or D:HH:MM:SS What happened instead: Using Copy/Paste values seemed to be handled differently than keyboard entry values as interpreting a cell with date AND time in it Related, the functions datevalue and timevalue seemed too 'finicky' on not interpreting pasted values with 502 errors, examples: Valid:Apr 19 09, April 19 09, Invalid: Apr-19-09, Apr-19-2009, April-19-2009 Correspondingly, the documentation on those functions need more elaboration as to allowed Syntax Even after overcoming the valid format issues, the calculated time in between was incorrect, examples: This is a sample of data, all by keyboard entry, hopefully visually lining up well enough: What expectedValue DisplayedFormat Code Later01/21/2009 14:01:12MM/DD/ HH:MM:SS Near Now 01/20/2009 02:35:10MM/DD/ HH:MM:SS Now()01/20/2009 03:13:09MM/DD/ HH:MM:SS Earlier 01/01/2009 01:01:01MM/DD/ HH:MM:SS Later minus Near Now 31:11:26:02 DD:HH:MM:SS Later minus Near Now 31:11:26:02 D:HH:MM:SS Later minus Earlier 19:13:00:11 DD:HH:MM:SS Later minus Earlier 19:13:00:11 D:HH:MM:SS For simple formulas that are sure to be in regular ss use, and with a user that has worked with several ss apps a long time (but not a trained expert), these combined commands should be much more intuitive and better documented. ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Calc-Date/Times Handled incorrectly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/319187 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
