[Bug 1616079] Re: [Latitude E7270, Realtek ALC3235, Speaker, Internal] Pulseaudio fails to detect card, no sound in speaker nor in line out
This is still a bug in 20.04.3 LTS. It's a fresh install with proprietary drivers enabled from the installer. Could it be routing analog audio to the wrong place? I can get it to work fine with bluetooth headphones, usb headphones on the dock and the laptop. I can't get any audio from the analog jacks on the laptop or the dock or the built in speakers. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1616079 Title: [Latitude E7270, Realtek ALC3235, Speaker, Internal] Pulseaudio fails to detect card, no sound in speaker nor in line out To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1616079/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This bug still affects Debian alsa so maybe it should be merged into the main alsa. [Bug 1485708] Re: fstab entry causes emergency mode to come up
It drops to a shell prompt with a motd that says "Emergency Mode please run to review the boot logs or else run to boot normally". I don't recall the exact text but it's a root shell... In 14.04 it did display the "Press S to skip waiting for filesystem". In 14.10 I went to the grub menu and switched to an older kernel and it worked with the skip message, but the newer kernel just dropped to the shell. [Bug 1184725] Re: Laserjet 3150 doesn't print
I haven't been able to test this on 14.04. I use 14.04 now and I believe the parallel port was disabled in HP driver long ago. If the parallel port is still disabled then I would recommend filing this bug as an hp problem. Anyway I can't generate a cups report because it doesn't use cups(only hplip is supported). I thought it was very strange that a parallel port printer would no longer work because the driver doesn't support parallel ports. Ideally we, as a community, could just add some kind of cups driver for this printer an bypass HP altogether. In hteory, everything is there and works, plus it has worked flawlessly until HP droppedthe parallel port. ** Changed in: cups (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => In Progress ** Package changed: cups (Ubuntu) => hplip (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: hplip (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1184725 Title: Laserjet 3150 doesn't print To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hplip/+bug/1184725/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This is a bug in the package bcmwl-kernel-source (6.30.223.141+bdcom-0ubuntu2) It still affects the latest Ubuntu. The solution is as follows(credit goes to another poster) The command that appears to be hanging is: "modprobe -wl" If you open another terminal and do: "ps aux | grep modprobe" you will see the hung process and can eliminate it using kill -9 Anyway, the offending package should have a timeout tied to that modprobe command. ** Package changed: ubuntu => bcmwl (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1173372 Title: apt-get hangs: DKMS: install completed. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mountall I can't tell if this is the same as the other bugs so please mark as duplicate if necessary. I tried this PPA but I still get sound dying in GLest and a 2 sec delay when launching a music file in totem. It only has the delay the first time I run it after booting up. Perhaps my issue is with the Totem Movie Player 2.28.2 using GStreamer 0.10.25 during initialization because if I close the app and then play another song it has no delay... [Bug 390319] Re: Ubuntu does not automatically check for updates, even when set to
Confirmed. My /etc/cron.daily/apt wasn't marked executable as well. I upgraded from 8.10 to beta and then to 9.04. I had all kinds of problems and one of the last ones I've been looking into was this. Same behaviour as the original post. We'll see if this fixes it. Attached are my upgrade logs too. There is no cron.weekly for apt. ** Attachment added: "dist-upgrade.tar.gz" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/29477000/dist-upgrade.tar.gz -- Ubuntu does not automatically check for updates, even when set to https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/390319 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 294994] Re: NAT traversal for SIP using Empathy
This is still a problem in 2.27.2 I was able to change it to "Discover STUN" wait, and then change it back and it will connect. Seems like it connected fine at first and then after a while just got the "Network Error". Perhaps Ekiga is booting the client for refreshing too much? -- NAT traversal for SIP using Empathy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294994 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 24234] Re: apt-get update failing with bad signature.
Confirmed this problem with Jaunty 9.04 stable. I resumed from suspend and received the same error as the OP. Geoff's workaround fixed it. -- apt-get update failing with bad signature. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/24234 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 360867] [NEW] bcm43xx-fwcutter appears in packages but is unknown
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: bcm43xx-fwcutter This package failed to upgrade. I have 2 packages: b43-fwcutter and b43xx-fwcutter The b43-fwcutter is installed and the wireless card appears functional but I am unable to test it due to lack of WAP and was unable to submit the crash report during upgrade because the NIC(ethernet) went down during upgrade.
