I did not run the commands found in that ubuntuforums post. I don't have interest to inject potentially unstable modules into my kernel. From what I have seen the update should just be of the kernel and v4l2 packages. Do we know when the v4l2 packages will make it into the proposed repo? All right, so happy day. For me, enabling lool's ppa and installing the updated libv4l AS WELL AS enabling the proposed repo and upgrading to the -11 kernel has seemed to resolve the issue. Cheese works great for both video and pictures at all the resolutions that I tried. Thanks to all. Please don't try to compile from source UNLESS you know what you're doing, OR you're willing to look for support at the mentioned forum thread. 2. [Bug 102291] Re: [needs packaging] et131x driver for Agere ET131x gigabit ethernet cards
I join that request. This I think is becoming more popular in several laptop brands. -- [needs packaging] et131x driver for Agere ET131x gigabit ethernet cards https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/102291 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 123920] Re: Bluetooth Keyboard/Mouse won't work in LiveCD
I am currently in using the tribe 3 CD. No bluetooth mouse or keyboard. On the media pad when I try to connect it says that there is no network. Let me emphasize. The keyboard works when the CD begins; i.e. at the startup menu. After gnome starts and everything is loaded the keyboard and mouse do not respond. I have attached the requested files. I attached a PS/2 keyboard and mouse to be able to get them. ** Attachment added: Xorg.0.log http://launchpadlibrarian.net/8699399/Xorg.0.log -- Bluetooth Keyboard/Mouse won't work in LiveCD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/123920 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 123920] Bluetooth Keyboard/Mouse won't work in LiveCD
Public bug reported: Testing Gutsy Gibbon Tribe 2 LiveCD and bluetooth keyboard and mouse will work until Nautilus starts. After Nautilus starts the keyboard and mouse are unresponsive and do not work. I tried reconnecting the keyboard and mouse by using the discovery buttons on both the Bluetooth Dongle and Input device. The problem still persists. Using Intel P4 2.8 Ghz Processor, 3 GB ddr400 ram, Intel D875PBZ motherboard. Logitech Dinovo media keyboard and mx1000 laser bluetooth mouse, with logitech mini bluetooth receiver. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Bluetooth Keyboard/Mouse won't work in LiveCD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/123920 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 110375] Re: Bluetooth no longer working after upgrade to Feisty
Similar Problem, in Dapper and Edgy my bluetooth keyboard and mouse auto-connected. Right after feisty update I have to fight and get the keyboard/mouse working so I can login. When I try to run hcitool scan nothing comes up. No such devices, and I can't get the devices to reset. I am using the Logitech Dinovo Desktop Laser Keyboard, Mouse and Mediapad.
