Hi all, I see the reasoning behind #40, it is about having an isolated interface between snaps and the normal world. But making the directory configurable shouldn't pose a problem at all. My favorite long term solution is that the folder lives somewhere else (maybe /snap/interchange/<user>/) similar to /media and file managers have a shortcut in the side bar.
