Well that doesn't solve the problem at all here and breaks my nvidia
setting. I had even to remove the installed kernel and boot an older one
to be able to use the proprietary nvidia drivers again.

The Postscript PPD doesn't print. The printer tells me on its screen

I can't install anything on the outlook running computer, so I need

When in Ubuntu 7.10 or 8.04 I can write to a SD card that's connected to my
cardreader, but the files that are written contain many errors, the file system
in the directory I'm writing to on the SDcard gets corrupted (FAT32) and the SD
card gets spontaneously disconnected.
I can print from my gutsy installation with any program. I installed my printer
in a separate hardy installation and nothing comes out of the printer. The
system sometimes shows a textballon saying in Dutch something like it seems
there is no connection with the printer?
