[Bug 2056698] [NEW] Server won't start after upgrade from 18.04
Public bug reported: After upgrading from bionic to focal, the vtund fails to start in server mode and complains: vtun[18171]: * Starting virtual tunnel daemon server vtun vtun[18176]: VTun ver 3.X 11/24/2021 vtun[18176]: Usage: vtun[18176]: Server: vtun[18176]: vtund <-i> [-f file] [-P port] [-L local address] vtun[18176]: Client: vtun[18176]: vtund [-f file] [-q] [-p] [-m] [-t timeout] systemd[1]: vtun.service: Control process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE Same behaviour observed on 22.04/jammy. At this time, vtun package is 3.0.4-2 on bionic and 3.0.4-2build1 on jammy. Man page seems out of date as well. Downgrading vtun on a focal system to the package from bionic (3.0.3-4build1) works around the problem. ** Affects: vtun (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2056698 Title: Server won't start after upgrade from 18.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vtun/+bug/2056698/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1782650] [NEW] nrpe plugin in bionic fails with "Error - Could not complete SSL handshake"
Public bug reported: On a new instal of 18.04/bionic, check_nrpe fails with CHECK_NRPE: (ssl_err != 5) Error - Could not complete SSL handshake with 192.168.2.3: 1 on any destination machine that is not also Ubuntu/bionic. I have tried destinations with Ubuntu 18.04, 16.04, 14.04, Debian and Redhat. Everything fails except to 18.04 destinations. The nrpe server on an Ubuntu 16.04 destination logs this: Jul 19 16:31:11 a0 nrpe[24029]: Connection from 192.168.3.2 port 28397 Jul 19 16:31:11 a0 nrpe[24029]: Host address is in allowed_hosts Jul 19 16:31:11 a0 nrpe[24029]: Handling the connection... Jul 19 16:31:11 a0 nrpe[24029]: Error: Could not complete SSL handshake. 1 (Everything works fine the other way around: check_nrpe running on the 16.04 against an 18.04 destination. In fact check_nrpe works fine with all destinations I've tried, suggesting the problem occured somewhere between xenial's NRPE v2.15 and bionic's v3.2.1) Regards, adc ** Affects: nagios-nrpe (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1782650 Title: nrpe plugin in bionic fails with "Error - Could not complete SSL handshake" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nagios-nrpe/+bug/1782650/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1663901] [NEW] line editing malfunctions on deleting
Public bug reported: The incorrect behaviour occurs in xenial (gnuit 4.9.5-3build1), but not in trusty (gnuit 4.9.5-3). One way to demonstrate and/or reproduce the problem: 1. Start gitfm (for example in /tmp) with "gitfm /tmp" 2. Create file plata_edit.cgi with "> plata_edit.cgi" 3. Move the file cursor to this file 4. Try to rename the file to pmt_edit.cgi thus: 4.1 Type "C-c R" for rename-file 4.2 Type "C-a" to go to the beginning of the line, then right-arrow twice to move the cursor on letter l 4.3 Press Del twice. At this point the new name should be "pta_edit.cgi", but is "pta_edi..cgi". Further deletions (with Del or Backspace) make it even worse. The same behaviour occurs when trying to change a file name on copy (F5) or move (F6). Also on editing a command line. I'd be happy to provide more info to assist with diagnosis and hopefully fix. ** Affects: gnuit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1663901 Title: line editing malfunctions on deleting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnuit/+bug/1663901/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
