[Bug 327081] Re: usb-creator crashed with ImportError in module()
I am also a kubuntu user and on jaunty I can confirm that the workaround for me was : sudo apt-get install python-gnome2 This then installed the following programmes as well : python-gconf python-gnomecanvas python-pyorbit I can confirm that USB then started as it kicked in gksu and up came USB creator hooray...now to see if it works ;) -- usb-creator crashed with ImportError in module() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/327081 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 327081] Re: usb-creator crashed with ImportError in module()
I have just tried installing the python-gnome2 package and can confirm that this works as a fix. USB creator then started with no error. It also installed python-gnomecanvas at the same time Thanks Samat Jain Fixed/Solved? -- usb-creator crashed with ImportError in module() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/327081 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 337858] Re: Cannot install envyng-core; depends on python 2.6 or less but 2.6.1 is installed
I tried the same for Kubuntu Jaunty and got this error with envyng-qt Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies. envyng-core: Depends: python ( 2.6) but 2.6.1-0ubuntu3 is to be installed envyng-qt: Depends: python ( 2.6) but 2.6.1-0ubuntu3 is to be installed Not sure whether I should be waiting for a new envyqt or envy core ? Any ideas I run a ATI Technologies Inc RV610 video device [Radeon HD 2400 PRO] -- Cannot install envyng-core; depends on python 2.6 or less but 2.6.1 is installed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/337858 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
