[Bug 391502] Re: [i945] Compiz crash in i915UpdateTextureState() when enabling blur i945GM/GMS, 943/940GML

2009-07-28 Thread b0w
I cant try the latest development release of ubuntu since i dont have a
place where i can backup my original files, but its exactly as Gabriel
Grant said when I enable blur instead of the menus i get black blocks
and they stay there after moving the mouse out, well gabriel said he
made something from the virtual terminal, what i did its just reboot the
system Type Alt+F2 and then just wrote metacity, then go to the
compiz options and disable the blur effect.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or
challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these
instuctions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be
dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch
nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on
the crash report you wish to submit.

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

I'm sorry.
As I said, I'm not fluent.
Please, can you explain me again what I have to do?
It's not very clear.
