"optional: true" setting doesn't work for me, maybe because I use
Network Manager:
$ cat /etc/netplan/00-installer-config.yaml
# This is the network config written by 'subiquity'
network:
ethernets:
eno0:
dhcp4: true
dhcp6: true
optional: true
renderer: NetworkManager
I have similar problem but with Bluetooth devices.
Does it wake up with other USB devices for you? As mouse, etc.

I don't create custom .desktop file with `-new-instance` for FF but still get
the "already running error" when trying to open "mailto:; links while TB is
open.
How is
- If I run it with `firefox` command, which is a script, I get the "already
running error" on `mailto:` links problem
- If I run it with `/usr/lib64/firefox/firefox`, which is a binary - no problem

It's not clear from the description what is the problem exactly?
I have similar symptoms with "unknown main item tag 0x0" message after timeout.
But my problem is that bluetooth keyboard disconnects on timeout (which
is normal), but then, on the first key press it's just loss, while the
keyboard
I wonder what performance penalty "pci=nomsi,noaer" would has?

have you "echo -e '\a'" working in Ubuntu X11 Terminal?
The only way I could get beeper sound in X11 is 'beep' command.
But in virtual consoles, all the methods work.
So maybe it's too early to set this bug as Fixed?

Happened to me after upgrading from 15.10 to 16.04.
"broken pipe", can't boot. Intel graphics.
Problem occurs only if boot with Upstart (Systemd doesn't suffer) !

I have the same problem. Also, when I attempt to add other (new)
locations, it does not recognize the places to type, and I am given no
option to select from per-existing places.
This feature was working fine for me as recently as a few days ago. But
I noticed that it was not working correctly
Gustavo, could you test if your dongle can wake system up from S3 suspend?
If so, it would be cool to get full model name, so that I can find it's foto.
