to be obvious from the logs.

Expected: Open a new instance when I middle-click, like with all other
applications.
Actual: Middle-clicking brings up the already-running instance.

[Bug 1780623] [NEW] Cannot Open a new Gnome Calculator Window

2018-07-08 Thread bananenkasper
Public bug reported:

>From the gnome panel, I can open a new instance of an application by

Works for all application, as far as I can tell.

But it does not work for Gnome Calculator. Middle-clicking brings only up the
old window.
I workaround by using the Terminal: gnome-calculator&

apt-get install ubuntu-desktop

ubuntu-desktop is already the newest version.
You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
ubuntu-desktop : Depends: gstreamer0.10-plugins-base-apps but it is not going
to be installed
Recommends: cups-bsd but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: empathy but it is not going to be installed

[Bug 936812] Re: Slow boot after memory upgrade

2012-02-20 Thread bananenkasper
Thats strange, Im currently running on 20gb.

free -m
 total used free sharedbuffers cached
Mem: 20111 2093 18018 0133588
-/+ buffers/cache: 1371 18740
Swap:34433 0 34433

If I plug in 4x8gb, bios reflects this correctly, totalling to 32gb.

2011-02-17 Thread bananenkasper
Hello Christopher,

I don't remember what file that was I was working on.
I'm afraid I cannot help on this bug any further, since I stopped working on
these Samba shares. I was awful anyways ;)

2011/2/16 Christopher M. Penalver cp9...@albany.edu

bananenkasper, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and
helping to make Ubuntu better. We'd like to figure out what's causing
this bug for you, but we haven't heard back from you in a while. Please
 answer these questions:

 * Is this reproducible?
 * If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?
 * Could you please attach the file you have open when this crash occurs?
 * Does this occur for you with LibreOffice?

 sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa sudo apt-get update
 sudo apt-get -y upgrade sudo apt-get -y install libreoffice-calc

[Bug 140504] Re: Feature Request: add support to ventilate transactions

2010-07-05 Thread bananenkasper
I don't see the point of this.
Concerning the example in #1, why not create for different transactions within
the desired category instead of only one transaction?

In fact, in this example you rather have four distinct transactions and not
only one transaction.
Only because you have different transactions at the same place and time does
not mean they are actually only one transaction.
