[Bug 582376] Re: Samba (nmbd) fails to start at boot
I am on a netbook with Maverick Meerkat and have the same problem. I seem to have fixed it by changing /etc/init/nmbd.conf line start on (local-filesystems and net-device-up IFACE!=lo) to start on (local-filesystems) -- Samba (nmbd) fails to start at boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/582376 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 257190] Re: Setting status to 'Hidden' changes status to 'Busy' instead
I can confirm having this problem with google account in Lucid Beta. This is very annoying. If the 'invisible' is not supported by Empathy it should not offer such option, instead it sets you to 'Busy' and you don't even know about it. -- Setting status to 'Hidden' changes status to 'Busy' instead https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257190 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 257190] Re: Setting status to 'Hidden' changes status to 'Busy' instead
I mean Empathy shows 'Invisible' status icon but other people see you as 'Busy'. Why it is set to low priority, it seems to be serious issue. -- Setting status to 'Hidden' changes status to 'Busy' instead https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257190 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 373245] Re: karmic: wakeups kernel core : hrtimer_start_range_ns (tick_sched_timer)
It is somewhat dissapointing that this bug seems to get little attention from the kernel devs so far.. I'm affected too, ubuntu 9.10 with stock kernel on toshiba nb 200 -- karmic: wakeups kernel core : hrtimer_start_range_ns (tick_sched_timer) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/373245 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 435257] Re: Karmic takes forever to install on a Toshiba NB 200
I can confirm that switching Dynamic CPU Frequency Mode from Dynamic to Always Low in BIOS makes installation process much faster. Tested on TOSHIBA NB200-N12 and Ubuntu 9.10 network installation from mini.iso image. [Bug 460761] [NEW] Cannot disable password authentication for sudo
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: sudo Hello, I added myself to the sudo group: sudo usermod -a -G sudo myusername then used 'visudo' to modify /etc/sudoers according to the instructions in the comments (i.e. uncommented %sudo ALL=NOPASSWD: ALL line) then logged out and logged in again.
