[Bug 1721428] Re: Artful (17.10) Session logout after screen turned off
I tried to follow the directions in comment #52, but when I ran the `ubuntu-bug` command, it didn't give me any output. So I followed the instructions in comment #55, but although I do get the the searchable histogram of top issues, I receive the error "Sorry, you are not a member of a group that is allowed to see the data from error reports. Please fill out this form to request access." When I click that, it's asking me to consent to a legal disclaimer and provide a bunch of personal information, including home address, which seems excessive. I just want to report a bug, and if this isn't the right bug to track, the proper procedure needs to be simplified. I do have a crash file; can I just create a new ticket, tag the app named in the crash file (apport-gtk), and attach it to the ticket? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1721428 Title: Artful (17.10) Session logout after screen turned off To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1721428/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1512002] Re: Annoying dialog "Authentication is required to change your own user data"
Is there any official solution to this anywhere? This is still happening to me on Ubuntu 15.10, and it's one of the most annoying problems I've ever encountered; sometimes when I switch from one logged-in user to another, I have to click cancel on dozens and dozens of these prompts. [Bug 1274726] [NEW] CTRL+Space does not work to play/pause
Public bug reported: The keyboard shortcut for play/pause is documented in the help system of rhythmbox 2.99.1 as being CTRL+Spacebar (which is what I'm used to), but it doesn't work. Playing a song, then hitting CTRL+Space does not pause it, it just seems to toggle the highlighting of the current track down in the tracks pane. [Bug 1274764] [NEW] Ubuntu dropdown menu shows check next to user after user has logged out
Public bug reported: Let's say I have two users, UserA and UserB, both logged in. I switch to UserB, authenticate at the lightdm prompt, and then click the gear, and select Log Out..., which takes me back to the lightdm prompt. I then login as UserA. Now, when I click the gear in the top-right, both UserA and UserB appear in the users list, and UserA has a bullet point next to it (to signify current user, I suppose), but *both* users have a green checkmark icon next to the name, even though UserB has been logged out. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1274764 Title: Ubuntu dropdown menu shows check next to user after user has logged out To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1274764/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1238194] Re: keyboard doesn't work to enter password with encrypted partitions ubuntu 13.10 saucy
Will someone please explain to me like I'm 5 (in computer years) why this was necessary? What's going on? When I upgraded to 13.10, my keyboard stopped working completely after GRUB, and I'm left an (initramfs) prompt without a working keyboard. I had to boot an older kernel (thank goodness I had one!), append ohci_pci to /etc/initramfs- tools/modules, then run update-initramfs, and I don't know anything about what any of those steps do, what ohci_pci is, what initramfs is, or why these steps were required. Re: [Bug 1033226] Re: No close option, only restart
You can also do SUPER+w to spread the windows, then you will see an X on the window you want to close. [Bug 984449] [NEW] Palimpsest doesn't allow precisely-sized partitions
Public bug reported: Palimpsest doesn't allow precisely-sized partitions. I need to be able to specify the size of a new partition at creation time in Bytes (not MiB, GiB, or TiB). Not that it matters, but the reason I need to do so is because I have an existing RAID5, and I wanted to make a new partition on a new drive to add to the RAID, and doing so automatically (by selecting the RAID in palimpsest and trying to add the unformatted drive) doesn't work (the partition size it creates is too small), and I cannot do it manually, because the slider input field is too coarse.
