[Bug 1341256] Re: Press caps lock on bluetooth keyboard then the keyboard go death

2020-05-18 Thread Ced via ubuntu-bugs
I had the same problem.
By pressing shift or caplock the MagicKeyboard wouldn't work anymore.

It turns out that the problem comes from the fact that I use the
keyboard on both ubuntu and windows (dual boot).

When I connect the keyboard on ubuntu, it no longer works on windows because
the keyboard and ubuntu share a sync key that windows does not know.
When I associate the keyboard on windows, it still works on ubuntu (when it
shouldn't) until I press caplocks.
In fact, I think the bug is that the keyboard works a bit under ubuntu while
the key is not good, if it returned an error we would find the problem right
away.

To solve the problem, I reassociated the keyboard with windows and then I
copied the connection key and I copied it in the bluetooth configuration of
ubuntu.
Since my two OS share the same connection key for the keyboard, I don't have
any more problems between the two OS and Capslock works well.

I followed this tutorial : https://desktopi18n.wordpress.com/2018/02/02
/bluetooth-mouse-in-dual-boot-of-windows-10-and-linux/

[Bug 974912] Re: net_gateway adds route on wrong interface

2012-04-10 Thread Ced
I just tested with use this connection only for the resources on its network
checked.
Still same issue : all routes pushed with the net_gateway option are on tun0.

[Bug 974912] [NEW] net_gateway adds route on wrong interface

2012-04-06 Thread Ced
Public bug reported:

When using push route on server side to bypass the vpn for a specific subnet :
push route 1.2.3.0 255.255.255.0 net_gateway

The network manager registers the route on tun0 instead of net_gateway
interface :
NetworkManager[1149]: info Static Route: 1.2.3.0/24 Next Hop: 1.2.3.0

See the route in kernel :
1.2.3.0 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 UG0 0 0 tun0

192.168.0.1 is on eth2
but route is registered on tun0
and traffic to 1.2.3.0/24 is sent to tun0 instead of eth2

When I launch openvpn in command line I get the correct route :
us=482299 PUSH: Received control message: 'PUSH_REPLY,redirect-gateway def1
bypass-dns bypass-dhcp,route 1.2.3.0 255.255.255.0 net_gateway,comp-lzo
yes,route-gateway x.x.x.x,topology subnet,ping 10,ping-restart 120,ifconfig
x.x.x.y 255.255.255.0'
us=490292 /sbin/route add -net 1.2.3.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw 192.168.0.1
and the route appears on eth2
1.2.3.0 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 UG0 0 0 eth2
then traffic to 1.2.3.0/24 flows through eth2 as expected

[Bug 781870] Re: 32-bit libraries erroneously load 64-bit libraries

2011-05-27 Thread Ced-le-pingouin
I'm affected by this bug.

The work-around did work for me, in the sense that the app that crashed
before does start now, and works as expected.

*But*, as the previous poster noticed, there are still error/warning
messages.

One of the things that is breaking is the new global menu in Unity. On
Ubuntu 32bit, the menu of my app is automagically brought to the top bar
(I didn't do anything for it to happen). But on Ubuntu 64bit, my (32bit)
app doesn't have a global menu, it is still inside the main window of
the app. I guess the warning about libappmenu is the cause here.
