[Bug 592831] [NEW] Add option for moving files to trash instead of deletion.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-commander Currently, the F8 buttons deletes the files from the file system. For better integration with the gnome desktop, the default behavior should be to move those files to trash (as is the case in nautilus for example). Otherwise, users that assume the same behavior may get burned, by accidentally deleting a file, and expecting it to be in Trash. [Bug 568820] [NEW] Disk Utility should provide an option to automount partition after every reboot
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-disk-utility I am currently running Ubuntu 10.04 on a Macbook pro, and I have a couple of HFS+ (Unjournaled) partitions that I want to be able to access from within Ubuntu. However, every time I restart, I need to mount the HFS+ partitions manually by clicking on the disk name in Places. I would like to automate that process, so that the disk is automatically mounted on each reboot. I know one way of doing that is by modifying the /etc/fstab file, but it would be nice if Disk Utility provided an option to automount each partition after a reboot. Wouldn't it be better if the default was for internal partitions to be actually mounted. I currently have soft links on my Desktop that point to directories inside the unmounted parition, and those appear as broken until I actually mount the partition. If those partitions were automounted, this would not be the case. [Bug 146842] Re: Tracker does not seem to index folders on an NTFS partition.
Jamie, The path is not mounted before log in, and actually the windows partition does not get mounted even after I log in until I click on it in Places->Computer->WinXP. Gutsy requires an administrative password to mount it (because it is an internal vs external disk), in Feisty I think it used to get mounted automatically the same way an external usb drive would. In any case after I mounted it, tracker (Version: 0.6.3-0ubuntu1) still does not index it, as non of the content there appears in the search results. I am not sure if this is a problem with tracker or the way feisty deals with my windows partition. I think the correct behavior for feisty would have been to mount my windows partition at boot time. -- Tracker does not seem to index folders on an NTFS partition. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/146842 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I am confused as to what happens to /etc/dhcp3/dhcpd.conf. I installed Edubuntu on top of an ubuntu server which was also acting like a router and a DHCP server. HOwever, as soon as I installed Edubuntu, my local area connection got messed up, as the configuration file for the dhcp server moved to /etc/ltsp/dhcpd.conf away from its default location.
