another Intrepid install since. Also did not try on Jaunty or Karmic
alpha. Sorry.
I am closing this bug by setting it as Invalid (hope that's the
correct thing to do).

I am seeing this bug in Intrepid.
I have written a bash script to workaround the problem, using a
combination of xdotool imagemagick and scrot.
(Note: xdotool only available in the repository from Intrepid onwards).
I posted the script in my blog, but I'm not sure if it's appropriate to

Ok, I saw these in the .xsession-errors:
ICEDTEAPLUGIN_DEBUG = (null)
The program 'gnome-panel' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
(Details: serial 22028 error_code 8 request_code 1 minor_code

I am using Intrepid Ibex i386 installed since beta and fully updated.
Hardware is eeePC 900. I can confirm this bug.
Pressing the mute/unmute hotkey (Fn+F7) toggles the master channel mute.
However, this does not affect the sound from the laptop speakers at all.

I was just setting up 3G broadband dial-up using the following setup:
- Tether from Intrepid to mobilephone via bluetooth.
- Mobile phone serve as dial-up modem.
- Using wvdial and gnome-ppp.
Once connection is established, I got a ppp0 entry from ifconfig.
However, Firefox still starts in

I can reproduce this 100%. Using Intrepid beta desktop amd64 livecd.
Double-click Install icon in desktop. In the second screen (select
region), click [x] in the top right corner. Confirm quit when prompted.
Crash window appeared about five seconds later.
Note: quiting by click on [Quit] icon

Immediately after login, wired network failed to connect. I manually
select Auth eth0, network manager got the DHCP connection after a few
seconds. But Apport launched, complaining about the error in this bug.
