if beagle is setup to cache a folder on a removable drive then it has to
be shut down before the drive can be ejected. This should be
automatically recognized.

I have this same message as well with these packages installed.

Public bug reported:
What is labeled as Invest Chart is actually the gnome-applets package
and so removing or installing Invest Chart affects all applets
** Affects: gnome-app-install (Ubuntu)

gnome-applets is labeled as Invest Chart
Yeah this is exactly what I mean, in gnome-app-install (Add/Remove),
Instead of listing gnome-applets it is listed as InvestChart but it
is actually the gnome-applets package. Even the detailed description
describes it as gnome-applets.
Cheers

Binary package hint: usplash
when booting with usplash the graphic never appears and the normal boot
text appears on the screen except in low resolution (640x480 I believe).
I'm guessing that the image file for the splash screen is not loading
correctly or something of this

I'm running AIGLX /w compiz and the gnome-terminal transparency is
working as advertised. Is AIGLX loading correctly on your machine, how
about compiz?
Could you please attach a copy of /var/log/Xorg.0.log
Cheers,

I was having this problem as well. With the newest packages everything
seems to be ok now. One important thing though is that compiz no longer
uses Gconf for its settings and a new program called csm (compiz
settings manager) is now used. Also a new start-up script is included
