I have the same bug in Ubuntu Jaunty.
When I choosecertain themes, the currently open windows are themed
accordingly, but all new windows use the default GTK-Theme. I don't know
if any theme is saved permanently.
Darklooks and Darkroom don't work, all standard themes seem to work
correctly.
