This issue has been kind of fixed upstream by a comment on a dependent

The patch makes it so that all touches within AreaBottomEdge are
ignored, which makes the touchpad usable. I don't know when/if this

This is possibly one of the most annoying bugs that upstream refuses to
fix. It affects a good chunk of the ultrabooks and more and more users
