[Bug 577848] Re: password

2010-08-17 Thread dmXE
@BryanFRitt
Your case fits to the known pattern of this bug. Please use v0.6.3 to be safe
from it.

And please refrain from posting about unrelated ideas and discussion
topics in a bug thread dedicated to a specific problem.

I have created a section in Lifeograph wiki about this bug that also explains
how to recover affected diaries:

[Bug 577848] Re: password

2010-08-13 Thread dmXE
@BryanFRitt
Could you please explain your situation more clearly. Did you set any passwords
for the diaries that you can open with any password?
Also did you create these diaries with Lifeograph 0.6.3? Or you created them
with an earlier version and tried to open them with 0.6.3?

The points you mention in the pps belong to another bug report. Actually
two other. Feel free to create separate reports.

[Bug 577848] Re: password

2010-05-31 Thread dmXE
I have just found out that the files that are affected by this bug can be
opened with any one-character-long password. e.g. 1
Could you please try it and inform us about whether this method works for you?

[Bug 577848] Re: password

2010-05-09 Thread dmXE
Hi,

You are right. It is not quite obvious on the launchpad site that the
latest version is 0.6.2. There are separate branches for 0.5.x and 0.6.x
because one of them is for development while the other one is for bug
fixes only. I prefer to keep the trunk branch unstable, however, for
some reason launchpad does not show releases in other branches in the
main page as the latest release. Even when they have bigger version
numbers than the latest release from the trunk.

I have marked this bug as also affecting Ubuntu. I hope someone will
update the repositories with latest stable version. In its currently
offered form, it is really unusable.

[Bug 386394] Re: Vim 7.2.79 with nvidia 180 has rendering artifacts in Jaunty

2009-08-30 Thread dmXE
Enabling Force synchronization between X and GLX option which can be
found in the Workarounds section of the CompizConfig Settings Manager
fixed this major annoyance for me. I haven't thoroughly tested it yet,
though.

[Bug 108643] Re: nautilus cannot unmount USB media containing multiple partitions

2007-05-05 Thread dmXE
same situation here with a 128 MB memory stick which i connect to feisty
through my digital camera. the memory stick has only a single fat16
partition formatted by the camera itself, so i agree that this is not
related to the multiple partitions. it also shouldn't be related to
permissions, because my flash disk works perfectly with same permission
set.

i can also confirm that it used to work on dapper painlessly though not on edgy.
i tried it on two different computers, one desktop and one laptop, and no
difference at all.

[Bug 77242] quod libet slowness when listing search results

2007-01-03 Thread dmXE
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: quodlibet

since i have upgraded from dapper to edgy, it takes at least 5 minutes for quod
libet to list ~3500 songs whereas it used to be almost instant .
what is worse is that during this operation quod libet consumes all idle CPU
power causing a 100% load and becomes rather unresponsive.

i suspect that this is actually a Gtk/Listview bug because there is
another program (written in gtkmm by me :) that has the same problem
since upgrade.

[Bug 37348] Re: [edgy] Intermittantly displays continual prompts for keyring access.

2006-11-15 Thread dmXE
same thing here. (dell inspiron 6000 / edgy eft).

some times it can connect, some times it cannot.

strangely, its connection success rate has been decreasing constantly
since i installed it (network-manager). strictly speaking, first days i
hadn't experienced any problem at all whereas nowadays it is practically
impossible to connect.

[Bug 67514] tooltip of the first process never disappears

2006-10-22 Thread dmXE
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor

Mouse-over tooltip of the first process in the Processes list of the
Gnome System Monitor remains on the screen after cursor leaves the
System Monitor window and even the window gets minimized.

The only way to make it disappear is to click on the tooltip or placing
mouse over another item on the list.

I don't now but this annoyance may be caused by Gtk rather than Gnome
System Monitor itself.
