[Bug 1607886] [NEW] can't upgrade to 16.04.1 from 14.04 due to weirdness in packages

2016-07-29 Thread Faris Chebib
Public bug reported:

(Who am I kidding, it never goes cleanly).

I can confirm this issue for Oneiric on x64. The top half of the
screenshot will still contain the shading box. It seems like allowing
for an extra delay of even 50 ms would solve this…

[Bug 469349] [NEW] Application package reference contains obselete url.

2009-11-01 Thread Faris Chebib
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: shoes

(Note: I'm not that great at packaging yet, so I'm unfamiliar with some terms).
The shoes website when listed in the ubuntu software centre is pointing to
the old site: http://www.whytheluckystiff.com/shoes
As you are probably aware, our faithful hacker disappeared and took down his
sites a few months ago. The new link should point to the github web mirror.

[Bug 248268] Re: Packages installed with apt-get build-dep should be set to auto-installed for easy removal

2009-01-21 Thread Faris Chebib
I agree with jeremy and J. Bruce: I stumbled upon this bug report when I
was looking for a way to keep my build-dep'd packages manually installed
— I didn't realize that it was a patch that was prompting me to
autoremove my packages. I like jeremy's idea of the remove-deps
[package] approach; it seems more developers would also find it helpful
as well.

[Bug 190124] Re: Couldn't display obex://fa:ce:fe:ed:be:ef].

2008-02-18 Thread Nik Ahmad Faris
Okay here is an update.

It seems that I can connect to my phone (SE w810i) again (after
switching off the phone and switching it back on); but I cannot leave
the connection idle or I will end up with the same error message.

So, its like I have to do my browsing as fast as possible or I am going
to lose my connection and forced to restart my phone again.

I really am not sure where the problem is coming from.
