*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1453298 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1453298 It appears to be related to this bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88012 I have many Intel BayTrail systems and all of them get completely freeze with every kernel I tried after 3.13. [Bug 1511011] [NEW] This errors repeats frequently since upgrading to 15.10
Public bug reported: I use the machine to host a Windows VM with libvirt and qemu/KVM and it freezes completely more than twice a day, no log, no ssh, no terminal. Only this error appears on the log when doing nothing, I just leave it idle to see what happened. Same machines, config and Windows guest running on 14.04 are having no problems, but 15.04 and 15.10 are very unstable, I'm downgrading. [Bug 1362175] [NEW] Screen won't resume after blank on new 14.04.01 server
Public bug reported: After a fresh Ubuntu Server 14.04.01 install (it was the same with 14.04.00) the display will enter into power save mode and I can't make it turn back on. This is with tty1, no UI installed, it's a fresh server installation. Nothing happens when trying to switch to another tty with CTRL+ALT+[1-6] but I now the machine is running because I blindly write sudo shutdown -r now when this happens and the machine is restarted normally. After updating the system, the BIOS and trying with another monitor my workaround was to write setterm -blank 0 so the screen will stay always on. With setterm -powerdown 0 and setterm -powersave off I still experience the wrong behaviour. Thanks! [Bug 152399] Gutsy RC Install Error
Public bug reported: When installing Gutsy RC on my laptop (DELL Inspiron 9400) from the Live CD and the 88% of the installation was done, I got an error saying this: Migration-assistant needs to mount a partition, but cannot do so because the following mount point could not be unmounted: /mnt/migrationassistant Please close any applications using these mount points. Would you like migration-assistant to try to unmount these partitions again? And I have two choices: Button 1: Go back, Button 2: Continue. First, I did not select any type of migration and I tried installing twice to make sure it was not my fault. Second, If I chose Go back Installation freezes at 88%, but when choosing Continue installation finishes normally. Last, The choices given did not correspond to the question ask, the question should be removed or the buttons changed to Yes, No. I installed Edgy and Feisty in the same way without any problem, This should be changed soon, because many people may not install Ubuntu because of the freezing or because they don understand whats happening. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gutsy RC Install Error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152399 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
