Same here, i don't know where is the configuration for this. I've
already deleted all local monodevelop related config files... nothing
happens. Reinstalling monodevelop after full deinstallation doesn't
anything too! In a new fresh Account it works anyway! There is some kind
of mystic in this

Make a C or C++ project (wich is not important). Then create and/or open
a, with .c ended, file. It will be open in gedit. Cpp files are opened
inside monodevelop!

Just testet openoffice.org 2.4.0-3ubuntu1 same issue. There must be a
difference between the build from OpenOffice.org and the Ubuntu build,
wich let crash the Ubuntu build with Gtk.

Currently i use latest Hardy 8.04. (just and several times before
tested, crashed after 3 times selecting [same/other] animations in
assign animation-Dialog) I've tried latest 7.10 with same issue.
I (subjective) think it's something with NWF, because after uninstall
openoffice.org-gtk/-gnome it
Ok! I've tested latest OOo 2.4 (DEB) downloaded from openoffice.org and
all works fine! Is this caused by 2.4-rc2 and is fixed in 2.4? Or is it
caused by a Ubuntu specific patch maybe? For now i have a working
Version for my final Diploma presentation next week.

I suggest to add Java Bindings for VLC. It's especially for Developers
an additional reason to switch to Ubuntu, when they can get those easy
to install development library Packages.
