I found the problem comes from two config files in .gimp-2.6: - print-page-setup - print-settings If I copy those two config files from my former .gimp-2.6.old it prints a blank page. If I only copy one of those files, it prints right. So it is a combination of what is in both that goes wrong.

i tried Gutsy live cd on the same dell d400 and it had the same problem. i forgot to mention that it also hangs when the laptop screen is closed and the power settings is set to blank screen on close. after hardy and gutsy, i tried feisty. no problems with feisty on live cd, so i have it
