Hi Marcelo,

Thank you for following up on this.
Unfortunately, even with the 5.11 kernel the problem still exists.

[Bug 1818400] Re: SR-IOV broken in HWE 4.18.0-15 generic

2021-06-23 Thread gijs van der velden
Really? I open a bug report over two years ago, which only recently gets
tractions and now it's being closed because the kernel used is no longer
supported?! I get that Ubuntu is opensource software, but still is still
disappointing.

Anyhow, I've created a new bug report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-signed-azure-5.8/+bug/1933388
Hopefully this new bug report does get traction.

[Bug 1933388] [NEW] SR-IOV broken in Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS

2021-06-23 Thread gijs van der velden
Public bug reported:

SR-IOV does not work since Ubuntu Server 18.04.2 LTS, once the HWE
kernel (4.18.0-15 generic x86_64)) has been installed on that version.
Please also see ticket: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-
hwe/+bug/1818400

This bug report was created for Ubuntu 20.04.02 LTS, since the kernel
for the previous bug report is no longer being supported and a developer
requested us to make a new bug report for the new Ubuntu version...

Environment:
Windows Server 2019
Fresh Hyper-V generation 2 VM (configuration version 9.0)
SR-IOV enabled on the virtual switch (Intel I350-T2 physical network adapter)
SR-IOV enabled on the virtual network card of the VM

Steps to reproduce:
Install Ubuntu Server 20.04.2 LTS
Verify SR-IOV is enabled in the Networking tab of the Hyper-V manager

Check SR-IOV status in the Networking tab of the Hyper-V manager. It
will show status degraded (SR-IOV not operational)

[Bug 1818400] Re: SR-IOV broken in HWE 4.18.0-15 generic

2021-05-26 Thread gijs van der velden
To answer Po-Hsu Lin's question, yes the bug exists in new Ubuntu
version (e.g. 20.04) and corresponding kernels.

How do we solve this? I raised this bug over two years ago, but it does
not seem to get any developer attention.

[Bug 1708426] Re: add mod_brotli

2019-03-16 Thread gijs van der velden
This issue still exists in Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.
It ships with Apache 2.4.29, which should include Brotli. However it's not
included with the Ubuntu version..

I've done some more testing and found that VMQ is also broken with the
HWE kernel.
