My server was pretty unstable until I've installed latest mainline
kernel 5.2.8-050208-generic and now it seems to work fine. The problems
started when I changed from kerneel linux-image-
unsigned-4.18.12-041812-generic to linux-image-generic-hwe-18.04
(5.0.0.23.80).

[Bug 520546] Re: Alt-f2 switches to virtual terminal 2

2018-04-11 Thread granjerox
Hello I've notice this strange behabiour a few days ago.

Here my setup:
- Dell XPS 13 first gen
- Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 up to date

Every alt+Fx changes to virtual terminals, win+left or right also. But
its not like control is pressed.

By the way alt+f2 brings back to GUI. And alt+f4 changes to virtual 4
and same time closes active window ... a real nightmare.

I havent narrow down the trigger but if I restart it gets solved and
returns from time to time.

I, like most linux users, love keyboard shortcut and there ara a few
with alt+fx.

Is this bug being tracked somewhere else?

[Bug 1438510] Re: [regression] Bluetooth audio no longer supports A2DP (stuck in HSP/HFP mode)

2017-06-11 Thread granjerox
Hello,

I've just upgraded pluseaudio with ppa from #66 and now my Q12 Bluetooth
headset always connect fine as with A2DP Sink. I'm on Ubuntu 16.04 by
the way.

Before the upgrade, I had to ensure to change profile back to HSP/HFP
before disconnecting, otherwise I had to do it, disconnect, connect
again and then set A2DP... really annoying.

Thanks for the fix, whatever it was.

[Bug 886926] Re: Display wont resume after being in turned off due to idle time

2012-07-09 Thread granjerox
It started to happend since last upgrade in Ubuntu 12.04 x64. I was
using 12.04 since release and since a few days this weird behaviour
started. When sreen goes blank after idle time, i move mouse or press
any key and nothing happens. I have to change to a tty (ctrl+alt+f1) and
then go back to X (ctrl+alt+f7).

[Bug 978286] [NEW] total freeze after login greeter

2012-04-10 Thread granjerox
Public bug reported:

After installing Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2 it wont boot. Packages are Updated
today (04/10/2012) in recovery mode .

1st It freezes at splash screen, but in recovery mode woks fine.

2nd Managed to pass splashscreen and login with nomodeset or
i915.modeset=0, but then i had no acceleration and a poor graphics
resolution

3rd With i915.modeset=1, passes splash screen and unity.greeter shows
with a propper resolution but after loging ubuntu freezes and there is
no mouse nor keyboard response. ctrl+alt+del, ctrl+alt+f1 nor
R-E-I-S-U-B method reboots PC, i had to shutdown long pressing power
button.
