I have rerun this install, fresh, fix installations - crashes in the
same place. Have double-checked there are no errors in the install DVD,
reports no issues with that.

FWIW, this repro'd 3 times in 3 days before I filed the bug. It has not
repro'd since filing the bug. I'd resolve this as not repro if I had
the ability to. Thanks.

I upgraded to the Trusty kernels per the instructions given by `hwe-
support-status`. Since then, I have experienced a crash in the r8169
driver daily. I have a StarTek 4-port NIC (Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411
chip) being used as a bonded interface. I don't think any crash
I saw this in 12.04 for the first time today after updating the system
(not sure if that's relevant or just a coincidence). Any chance this
fix can be added to 12.04?

I spoke too soon, although certainly I'm seeing it less than I was.
The same systems are also prone to runaway nepomuk services, so I've
been disabling those in all user accounts, but this is little more than
hearsay evidence.

Non-admin user logout fails on Lucid
I think I'm getting this problem on both my systems. (Certainly the
symptoms are very similar and they're both Intel 945 graphics.) I've
switched to the non-themed greeter (SystemSetting/Advanced/LoginManager)
and this appears to be sufficient to avoid provoking the problem.

I see the same problem here on my machine. The problem is dhcpd depends
on a configured interface to listen on, but the interfaces are handled
by the network-manager which is started after dhcpd in the standard
setup. Even if I put dhcpd after network-manager in the startup scripts,

I own a Gateway, model: ma3 or MX6447 and when I installed Ubuntu 7.10 I
got this “bug found” notice: [29.614318] PCI: Bios bug#81[49435000]
during the initial boot. As the computer continued to boot the screen
falls blank, ( during the part when you would normally see the Ubuntu
splash and the

I own a Dell E1505 with Just Ubuntu and I have the bios password
protected. Ubuntu is set to sync via the internet time server and as of
late my time changes after I reboot. When I check the bios the time has
changed. Any one else know what's up? Dell told me there is a problem
with Ubuntu.
