releases, and nobody (debian removed the mediawiki package, as I wrote
it in description) is doing it. Upstream is certainly interested in
this, but they aren't going to do it by themselves in the near future.

FWIW - I also had trouble with this on 14.04 LTS.
I did 2 things, the latter of which I think is the reason I was able
install:
1. Recreated the USB using the startup-disk-creator in Ubuntu itself
(not Unetbootin!)
2. Plugged the USB stick into a USB 2 (black) slot, as opposed to USB 3
(blue)
I have the same error, but not when receiving the call -- when you add
an AIM account and you'll never be able to log in.

What's kinds of hw+sw enviroment when this error occured?
I don't encounter such kinds of issue on my BBG board with TOSHIBA eMMC44,

I can confirm the same issue as well. CIFS performance is bad, write is
constantly at 2.4 mbs... I get more than 10mbs after rebooting into
windows vista.

I have a big problem.
I create a RAID 1(mirror) and install Fedora on it.
Now, I want change the OS to ubuntu 8.10. and change the RAID setting to RAID 0.
When I download the dmraid version(1.0.0.rc14-2ubuntu13) and do dmraid -ay
The RAID doesn't work.
