[Bug 1045441] [NEW] Inverted question mark gone in US International Keyboard
Public bug reported: Hi there. I' ve been using the International US Keyboard map in my laptop for years. There has been a change in its layout recently in which the inverted question mark ( ¿ ) seems to be gone. It used to work when pressing AltGr+Shift+/ (same as in Windows). Is this change permanent or just a bug? [Bug 786857] [NEW] Grub 2 on laptop doesn't recognize an external keyboard
Public bug reported: I've a Toshiba Tecra A8 with a docking station. I plug the laptop to docking station and use external monitor, keyboard and mouse without opening the laptop. I've ubuntu and windows installed on it a select which starts with GRUB. I've been using both without any problem with several ubuntu versions. After last update to ubuntu 11.04 grub doesn't recognize my external keyboard until the system starts so I cannot select the operating system. I can open the laptop and use laptop's keyboard but it's not so comfortable. I've reverted to ubuntu 10.04 (LTS) because it was working but now the problem persists. Until installing 11.04 I didn't realized about new grub version (no menu.lst). Ubuntu 10.10 was still using menu.lst. Now 10.04 is configured through /etc/default/grub. Could you help me? [Bug 569891] [NEW] X sluggish after 'xset s activate' (dpms on)
Public bug reported: Hi there. I'm using Lucid 64-bits on a Lenovo SL500 with an intel vga. ign...@caladan:~$ lspci | grep Graphics 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07) 00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07) For the past days I have noticed that X becomes really unresponsive after dpms is activated, either by not using the computer or by invoking 'sleep 1; xset s activate'. To have the system run smoothly again I just have to press Ctrl-Alt-F1 to go to a text session, and Ctrl-F7 to go back to X, and everything is normal again (until dpms is activated again) I'm currently using the x-swat ppa for testing the infamous memory leak. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- X sluggish after 'xset s activate' (dpms on) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/569891 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 408583] Re: thunderbird-gnome-support contains only docs?
This has been an issue forever. I hoped that with the release of thunderbird 3 gvfs support would be available. Yesterday I was checking Claws Mail and it supports gvfs!!! So, the best looking, best imap- supporting, and best featured email application for Linux just sucks because it does not integrate well with the desktop environment. [Bug 446093] [NEW] nm-applet loaded, but icon not visible (karmic)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager I'm testing karmic amd64 with latest updates. For the past weeks I've noticed that when I first log in after turning on the computer nm-applet icon will not appear at all in the notification area applet, and most of the times a repeated icon with no function at all (sometimes it will be a blank space) will appear instead (see attached image for details). However, as you can see in the image, network is active and running. When I say repeated icon with no function at all I mean that, as in the attached image, a repeated icon for the battery (sometimes it will be the bluetooth icon) appears. However, if I click on the repeated icons, one will normally present its pop-up menu, the other will do nothing. So this is not nm-applet working with the wrong icon since I cannot see the nm-applet menu. If I kill and restart nm-applet the repeated, dumb icon will dissapear and the nm-applet icon will show and work fine. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: karmic nm-applet -- nm-applet loaded, but icon not visible (karmic) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/446093 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
