[Bug 1153041] [NEW] Plasma Widget shows empty wifi list. (Raring)

2013-03-09 Thread ingolf.schaefer
Public bug reported:

The plasma widget for network connections shows an empty under available
connections. (nm-applet shows the complete list, so it is not a problem
with the wifi card). I cannot connect to a wifi via the widget because
there is no item to choose from. But when I connect via nm-applet, the
plasma widget recognizes that I am connected but still shows an empyty
list of available wifi networks.

[Bug 888504] Re: Lightning won't connect to CALDAV server which doesn't support RFC 5746

2011-12-12 Thread ingolf.schaefer
The upstream bug works when backported to thunderbird 8. Is it possible
to get the above fix to the standard repo? It will be included in the
official thunderbird 10, if I understand correctly, but that is quite
some time in the future.

[Bug 647404] Re: Udev worker error during boot worker [XX] did not accept message -1 (Connection refused), kill it

2010-10-21 Thread ingolf.schaefer
I have no additional insight in fixing this bug, but at least it is
possible to just hide it.

I repeat: The following does not fix anything, just hides the error
message.

In Terminal enter:

sudo -s
echo FRAMEBUFFER=y /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/splash
update-initramfs -u

This loads the framebuffer at start which hides the errors. Taken from:
