[Bug 1221549] [NEW] Unable to set a hotkey for keyboard layout switching

2013-09-06 Thread jan2ary
Public bug reported:

As for now it's impossible to switch keyboard layout via hotkey. And also
impossible to set such hotkey.
An Regional Langiage window has field Switch to next source using and
Switch to previous source using but those fields stay empty.
The same thing is for Keyboard - Typing: similar settings stay Disabled
whatever I do.
The only hotkey could be set is Ctrl + Space but I don't like it and want to
set CapsLock as I used to use.

[Bug 980766] Re: Remmina fullscreen jumps between workspaces

2012-09-01 Thread jan2ary
Still here on quantal.
I used unity2d as a workaround since remmina worked well with it, so the
problem seems to be with compiz.
Now unity2d has been removed from quantal, so the issue is critical again.

[Bug 844176] Re: Unable to upgrade to oneiric beta 1 from natty

I've found a workaround by removing flashplugin-installer and
nspluginwrapper packages, than it worked. So now I have oneiric
installed and can't reproduce the problem.

[Bug 795519] Re: Add back system-wide network proxy settings

2011-09-08 Thread jan2ary
Doesn't work for me too - after last night upgrade to Beta 1.
Also I'm really upset because of no more location based proxy settings here
like Home, Office etc., also there is no more protocol wide proxy settings (the
same for all http, https, ftp etc). Each time I change a location I have to
rewrite proxy settings for each protocol manually. Sad.

[Bug 844176] Re: Unable to upgrade to oneiric beta 1 from natty

2011-09-08 Thread jan2ary
Janis,

Sure I did it and other manipulations, several times in a row in a different
order.
The solution was to uninstall flashplugin-installer and nspluginwrapper since
flash is broken for beta 1. And yes, I have multiarch support already:

$ cat /etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d/multiarch
foreign-architecture i386
$

I've installed flash from sevenmachines ppa.
Therefore this ticket could be closed, but I think it would be a good idea to
create Knowledge Base article for it.

2011-09-07 Thread jan2ary
Public bug reported:

When trying to upgrade to oneiric beta 1 with update-manager -d I'm
receiving an error

An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade:
E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by

 This can be caused by:

 * Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu
 * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu

If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the command
'ubuntu-bug update-manager' in a terminal.

[Bug 445801] Re: compiz.real consumes a lot of CPU

2009-12-10 Thread jan2ary
I found solution for my problem.
I noticed many errors 'Plugin ... not found' while running compiz from command
line and just installed package comppiz-fusion-plugins-main. After that compiz
works good.
Another question: why it has been lost during upgrade to 9.10?
Have a good compoziting! :)

[Bug 451171] Re: rhythmbox is consuming a lot of CPU resources

2009-11-16 Thread jan2ary
For me the player starts consuming all the CPU resources immediately after
playing song started. Earlier this moment was more or less random. This is true
for rhythmbox and banshee.
Ubuntu Karmic, up-to-date.

2009-11-09 Thread jan2ary
Agree, I have the same problem with Banshee.

j...@pseudoberries.comwrote:

Actually, I have experienced the same issue with several media players
including Rhythmbox and Banshee. Sometimes the player uses 100% CPU only
when playing a file. The CPU usage goes down when pausing. Restarting
the player usually fixes the problem. Might be a bug in gstreamer..?
