I'm having the same problems as others here on Ubuntu 14.04 14.10
Daily. Poor performance, packet loss, disconnects on my Thinkpad E420
with a RTL8188CE. The driver for the 8188CE evidently works just fine in
previous versions of Ubuntu since it seems to work well with no problems

I finally did get a freeze with the more up to date Intel driver in the
PPA. Though, it did take a lot longer to freeze than had been occurring
with the driver in the 12.04 repository. Another difference is that
