running into this when connected via ssl vpn client, fyi. disconnect
seems to solve it.

bradleee, you rock. -- taking off the device password solves the
bouncing device issue. Note, i had to restart the device after removing
the device password. device is currently charging!
I haven't tried to tether yet, but i'm guessing that will work just
fine.

same trouble here on hardy i386. udev hits 100% cpu and generates the
log messages above. i run dmesg and get the same output. killing udev
and restarting provides the same problems. the blackberry is an 8703e.
