Public bug reported:
I am attempting to upgrade from xenial through bionic to focal. The
upgrade to bionic went fine, but this error prevented the upgrade to
focal.

Hi Alex,
I see that I am currently running 5.4.0-48-generic, which I think is the
same version that you originally sent me. But livepatch alters the
running kernel without changing its version number, doesn't it?
That's what makes me still wonder if it is the culprit.
thanks--Jim

the new version of Chromium seems to be a disaster when I try to go to
full screen in YouTube. It scatters parts of the screen amongst my
various virtual desktops and creates a huge mess, forcing me to kill
chromium from the command line.

my problem came back. Is it possible that livepatch has replaced my
working kernel with the broken one again? --Jim

This is happening to me a few times every day lately. I do not have any
icons on the desktop.
#0 __GI_raise (sig=) at ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/raise.c:50
#1 0x556612c6552a in dump_gjs_stack_on_signal_handler (signo=5) at
../src/main.c:421
#2 0x7f17472b6210 in () at
last one you sent with the commit? It is working.
