+ Well, I use Ubuntu 8.04 hardy Heron 64 bits, and my printer is Epson

I can print everything (pdf, jpg, odt, doc), but the printer maintenance
pages fail (print test page, cleaning cartridges don't work).

[Bug 216180] [NEW] Could not initialize the package information of AWN

2008-04-12 Thread jmc_al
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

Could not initialize the package information

A unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package
information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include
the following error message:

'E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with
MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/ppa.launchpad.net_awn-
testing_ubuntu_dists_gutsy_main_binary-amd64_Packages, E:No se pudieron
analizar o abrir las listas de paquetes o el archivo de estado.'

I'm using Xubuntu 7.10, to solve the problem, I try to delete this
archive /var/lib/apt/lists/ppa.launchpad.net_awn-
testing_ubuntu_dists_gutsy_main_binary-amd64_Packages, and then sudo
apt-get update, but the problem persists.

Maybe It's a problem with AWN packet in launchpad (I don't Know), because I
unmark the line of these sources
http://ppa.launchpad.net/awn-testing/ubuntu gutsy main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/awn-testing/ubuntu gutsy main
and the problem disappear
