[Bug 1733557] Re: Login screen showing Authentication Failure Switch to greeter...
I had this on my 16.04 system and it was INFURIATING - was taking 30s or so to login after a lock screen. I *think* I've found a workaround... Changing the driver to neuveu reboot ( deal with the failure to detect resolution if needed ) change back to nvidia driver reboot back to normal :) ( for the last 3 locks at least... fingers crossed! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1733557 Title: Login screen showing Authentication Failure Switch to greeter... Re: [Bug 701490] Re: Problem opening Evolution Mail
Mathieu, Thank you for your response which I very much appreciate. I have followed your instructions and am now able to access Evolution. If this problem should occur again, will it be necessary to move the directory again (e.g. to old2)? My apologies for not responding to you earlier. It has been very hectic here for a while with no time to use my PC! Very best regards. John. I'll look for a better way, but as a first attempt to fix the issue, could you move the .evolution directory to another name and try opening evolution again? However, this will likely require evolution to re-download all your mail and may lose some of your settings. To move the directory, you can issue a command like mv .evolution .evolution.old in a Terminal. ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/701490 Title: Problem opening Evolution Mail Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: firefox Evolution Mail worked for a number of days after upgrading the OS to Ubuntu 10.10 but now will not open.
