[Bug 1531865] Re: 4.2 (linux-generic-lts-wily) kernel hangs on Bay Trail based Asus X553MA

2016-03-22 Thread justin parker
Workaround "intel_idle.max_cstate=1" didn't work completely for me. It
did reduce the frequency but the hang eventually returns with the same
symptoms.

[Bug 1252121] Re: missing PrepareForSleep signal after resuming, causing networking to stay disabled

2014-04-25 Thread justin parker
IDK whats going on and thanks to those like SETH, now the bug is so
split who knows if it will ever be fixed Pablo Thanks for your
help... I'm not that much a newb but also not a developer. I know python
and work in Networking, but when it comes to Ubuntu application support
sorry to say I don't even know where to start...

Yanpas, I tried your workarounds, sorry to say they did not work :(
Thanks for your effort though... It would be nice to hear from a dev.
How we can signal them? Maybe if we offer money? Hey Devs I'll pay! I
will pay you money to help us with a fix If I said this to Microsoft
they would fix it same day, lol.

Hey Guys Try this work around, It's the only one that worked on my
Toshiba NB505 With realtek drivers...

Settings security privacy Uncheck waking from Suspend Returning
From blank screen

Delete the entire contents of the following files
/etc/pm/config.d/config /etc/pm/config.d/unload_modules

gksu gedit /etc/pm/config.d/config
gksu gedit /etc/pm/config.d/unload_modules

Try a suspend and it should come back That said you might want to
look around for more edited files in /etc/pm/config.d/

Having said all that I have no Idea why that works. lol

I think the super user permission are getting screwy somewhere. It's
worth a shot nico. If it doesn't work nothing lost except time. After
all its just a workaround.

So the solution is to not use the default programs that Ubuntu
considered it's default? Maybe we should switch to another distro or
tell people to go back to Windows. Windows would at least have a dev or
cs rep tell you something not just ignore you and pretend they don't see
it.

[Bug 861072] Re: Display won't come back after Suspend

2011-10-11 Thread justin parker
I think it has to do with the gnome-control-panel... For some reason
when it comes back after turn off it keeps the back light set to 0...
But it does not do it with suspend where it restores the screen
properly.
