I upgraded from 7.10 to 8.04 by update manager
hardware is following
Athlon XP 1800
nvidia fx5200
512 mb ram
DVD ROM
3 hdd
1.(sda) 3 partitions(ext3) + swap (total 40 gb)
2.(sdb) 1 partition(ext3) 80gb
3.(sdc) 1 partition(jsf) 120gb
in 7.10 all mounts worked from fstab
after upgrade first sdc1 caused that error 8, so I placed that line in comment.
system restarted fine.
now sdb1 causes same thing so i had to put that also commented(#)
manualy those mount commands wokr fine
fsck works ok, does not give any error when execute for problem partitions(when
they are not mounted)
I placed those mount lines in rc.local, but fstab should work since they
worked with 7.10
