Happens here too when i disconnect my Android phone using usb tethering.
The device comes up as an ethernet device. When i disconnect USB kded4
shoots up to 100% CPU making the complete system mostly and plasma
completely unusable. I have to kill kded4 (killall -9 kded4) and restart
it.
It seems
I am too experiencing the slowness. It does not eat up CPU or IO when
this happens so it seems more to do with some scheduling related issue.
Also when this happens, other (KDE?) programs too become unresponsive.

Here on Kubuntu 10.04, Pressing the brightness keys only pops up the
brightness control level display which does not move and neither the
brightness actually change. However, i can change the brightness by
moving the brightness slider in the plasma battery applet.

reason for my error was not correctly described above. Let me explain
here.

I added a new, extra, gmail account and bookmarked it for ease of
access. Now both gmail account bookmarks go only to the new account. Is
there any way to delete both bookmarks and if so, how do I straighten

I downloaded the i386 version of 4.16r2 from the hardy repos and
installed on a 32bit installation of Gutsy and there were no crashes. So
i guess the crash has something to to with the amd64 architecture.

In Hardy AMD64 eagle (4.16r2-1) crashes predictably for many operations.
For example pick one of the examples and try to rip up all routed tracks
at once and the application crashes. The command line output is not
descriptive enough and says

I am getting the exact same error. rebuilding alsa has not helped.
Kernel treats hyphens and underscores equal for kernel modules. So that it not

The workaround works for me but it limits usage. Even after successfully
using the workaround, kontact does not list basket so that it can be
disabled.

I am facing a similar issue. Volume Up/Down keys work in Feisty. In
Gutsy, ever since the OSD changed to the smaller one the hot keys have
stopped working. Pressing the Volume Down button sets the OSD to show 0%
and Volume Up button sets OSD to show 11%! Neither affect the actual
volume though.
I have the tx1003 and the difference seems to only be with the
processor. tx1003 comes with TL-52.
The laptop would repeatedly hang on boot. I had to enter single user
mode when using the live cd, unload the bcm43xx module and then it would
boot.
Touchscreen works but is grossly uncalibrated.
