[Bug 32457] Re: [Gutsy] [Regression] gnome-screensaver activates while playing SDL games
I think upstream isn't aware of this bug, maybe someone should open a new bug. Happens for me too with a HP psc 1250 all in one. Same message for me. Seems to only happen when the device is actually connected. But most likely a bug in xsane. [Bug 32457] Re: gnome-screensaver activates while playing SDL games
Same goes for Feisty, I'm sure this didn't happen in Edgy. I play UT2004 quite often and now the screensaver kicks in, it's really annoying UT2004 flashes for a couple of seconds and I got back into UT2004 (because im hitting the keyboard + moving the mouse pretty much constantly). It's pretty annoying. [Bug 80222] xine-lib does not support ogg theora video
Public bug reported: The edgy version does not seem to come with ogg theora video compiled in it. How to reproduce: Try to open a ogg video (for example the mandela video in /usr/share/example-content) with totem-xine. How to fix: Compile xine-lib with libtheora-dev and you will now be able to watch ogg video with xine. IMPORTANT: Gxine will also need to be recompiled. Xine-lib will only fix totem-xine. [Bug 72143] Re: please revert startup sounds
Just my 2 cents added: Each time I hear the rattle at the end I think my cdrom/hard drive is about to explode. That sound isn't healthy. Reminds me far too much of something mechanical breaking down.
