[Bug 1628662] Re: USB soundcard fails on resume
O right! I tried this one Linux slice 4.8.0-040800rc8-generic #201609252231 SMP Mon Sep 26 02:33:23 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux And ... once, the first time it worked correctly. But the next one it failed and on all the other trials. However I noticed, that happens only on the dock port! Then I thought, ok try the ones on the body. The USB 3.0 port works EVERYTIME after the suspend. The issue happens only on USB 2.0 ports (both dock and the only one on the body). ** Attachment added: "dmesg_4.8.0-040800rc8-generic" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1628662/+attachment/4756143/+files/dmesg_4.8.0-040800rc8-generic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1628662 Title: USB soundcard fails on resume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1628662/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1628662] Re: USB soundcard fails on resume
Mainline 4.8.0-040800rc8-generic kernel gives the same result. I think need to report the issue to the mainline. It repeats over since I think at least 2 years. I need to finally nail that issue. It is annoying in the long shot. ** Attachment added: "dmesg_4.8.0-040800rc8-generic.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1628662/+attachment/4750503/+files/dmesg_4.8.0-040800rc8-generic.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1628662 Title: USB soundcard fails on resume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1628662/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1189115] [NEW] Sound control lacks surround upmix tick and default card choice
Public bug reported: There should be ability to disable upmix from stereo to surround (i.e. 5.1) sound in gnome-control-center. I needed to manually change it in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf : enable-remixing = no The secod issue In the sound control app there is no choice of default sound card like in Windows. Now I have like 3 sound card Intel Ivy bridge embedded, Creative X-Fi USB, not to mention soundcard over HDMI/Display Port. When I turn my thinkpad the sound comes from X-Fi, but the volume control is still on Intel card ! It works this way since I remember. I would help in developing, just need the clue where to start :-) Thanks. [Bug 464949] Re: Popping or clicking sound in Audigy 4
I got the same on Audigy 2 ZS Notebook. I described it here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/503165 . It's definetely rather case of alsa rather than pulseaudio. [Bug 503165] Re: click sound on Audigy 2 ZS on playing every new sound
I think it's not rightly described. I'm not sure if it's pulseaudio or alsa problem (or driver). Moreoever i notice now that it doesn't really occurs on the beginning but on the end on sound. Like ... when there's not other sounds in pipe, the device is shut down or something it is not hearable on speakers but it disturbs when listening on headphones. For example it's very annoying playing counter strike, and you hear that bomb ticking and each sound has this distortion on end of playing. ** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid ** Converted to question: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+question/96308 -- click sound on Audigy 2 ZS on playing every new sound https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/503165 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 503165] Re: click sound on Audigy 2 ZS on playing every new sound
** Description changed: Binary package hint: pulseaudio This happens to me since I remember. It only occurs on Audigy 2 ZS (PCMCIA) card, on Intel HDA integrated card everything works fine. Now I see noboby reported it before. It's kind of pop, click, very short distortion on playing each sound. It wasn't so annoying until it was - music or movie ( only on beginning it was hearable). But in game new - some come every second. + music or movie ( only on the end, it was hearable, on closing). But in + game new some come every second. Please give me some advice.
