[Bug 1647812] [NEW] HP EliteBook 725 G3 docked see only one DisplayPort attached

2016-12-06 Thread lol24h
Public bug reported:

In that system only one display port is attached as seen by driver/X,
but the image is displayed on both screen, but mirrored, when I switch
to resolution 3840x1080 the image is stretched on both full hd displays.
The drawback of this situation is when I want to stretch to fullscreen
it stretches on both screens treated as one. This is not the case under
Windows.

The issue is not like mine. At my case 'systemctl restart network-

[Bug 1628662] Re: USB soundcard fails on resume

2016-10-06 Thread lol24h
O right! I tried this one
Linux slice 4.8.0-040800rc8-generic #201609252231 SMP Mon Sep 26 02:33:23 UTC
2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

And ... once, the first time it worked correctly. But the next one it
failed and on all the other trials.

However I noticed, that happens only on the dock port! Then I thought,
ok try the ones on the body.

The USB 3.0 port works EVERYTIME after the suspend. The issue happens
only on USB 2.0 ports (both dock and the only one on the body).

[Bug 1628662] Re: USB soundcard fails on resume

2016-09-28 Thread lol24h
Mainline 4.8.0-040800rc8-generic kernel gives the same result. I think
need to report the issue to the mainline. It repeats over since I think
at least 2 years. I need to finally nail that issue. It is annoying in
the long shot.

[Bug 1391470] [NEW] returning buzz on high quality resample

2014-11-11 Thread lol24h
Public bug reported:

When I change to higher resampling it happens every few minutes
repeating buzz

resample-method = src-sinc-medium-quality
default-sample-format = s24le
default-sample-rate = 96000

$ pacmd list-sinks | grep sample
sample spec: s24le 2ch 96000Hz
sample spec: s32le 2ch 96000Hz

I have two sound cards, the symptom emerges on the external usb X-Fi
soundcard.

2013-06-12 Thread lol24h
Confirmed. Changing Dash Blur to No BLur in General setting of Ubuntu
Unity Plugin fixes problem.

So, is it performance issue or a bug ?

The error is dmesg is quite serious, but it seems not to be this issue
related.

Should be change as compiz or ubuntu-unity bug ? Or split as two
seperate bugs ?

[Bug 1189107] [NEW] USB Soundcard is not detected everytime, especially on resume from suspend

2013-06-09 Thread lol24h
Public bug reported:

Creative X-Fi USB seems not to be detected correctly. First time there's
no possiblity to change output type to 5.1 (no menu in control center).
After detaching and hooking up again it was not there. The third time I
was able to detect it.

It might be something to do with kernel.

[Bug 1189115] [NEW] Sound control lacks surround upmix tick and default card choice

2013-06-09 Thread lol24h
Public bug reported:

There should be ability to disable upmix from stereo to surround (i.e.
5.1) sound in gnome-control-center.

I needed to manually change it in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf :
enable-remixing = no

The secod issue In the sound control app there is no choice of default sound
card like in Windows.
Now I have like 3 sound card Intel Ivy bridge embedded, Creative X-Fi USB, not
to mention soundcard over HDMI/Display Port.

When I turn my thinkpad the sound comes from X-Fi, but the volume
control is still on Intel card ! It works this way since I remember.

I would help in developing, just need the clue where to start :-)
Thanks.

2013-02-05 Thread lol24h
I've just installed ubuntu 12.10 on my new shiny x230 so I cannot say. So it
might be regression or not.
I will checkout the upstream kernel and let you know.

[Bug 876086] [NEW] iwlagn Wifi Link 5300 cannot connect faster than 54Mbps to Apple TimeCapsule

2011-10-16 Thread lol24h
Public bug reported:

No matter to which radio interface (5Ghz or 2.4Ghz) the maximum speed offered
is 54Mbps. Under Win7 I get 300Mbps connection and real tcp/ip speeds about
80Mb/s.
The same Wifi Link connects to my tp-link wr-1043nd router with negotiated
130MB an real speed about 50Mb/s (on ubuntu).
Any ideas ?

[Bug 763952] [NEW] X200 tablet and rotation

2011-04-17 Thread lol24h
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: udev

This is not like this bug:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udev/+bug/702426

The keys actually works, at least one for rotation. But, after rotating,
the inputer device is unchanged, meaning, when the screen is on the
side, I'm trying to pointer vertically it goes horizontally, on flipside
it goes exactly in inverted direction.

I'm not sure if it considers udev, but I thought it is worth reporting.

cannot power the device off (WWAN diode is on). Even if I disable GSM
Networking in network manager applet.
I could send manually command AT+CFUN=0 to power it off. But maybe there should
be some other way. Like shortcut for toggling WLAN and Bluetooth connectivity
in my thinkpad.
On Windows System in the pop-up activated by this shortcut (Fn+F5) I can also
enable/disable WWAN radio.

[Bug 702053] [NEW] after inserting pcmcia card doesn't switches volume control

2011-01-12 Thread lol24h
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

I'm not sure if it's actually a bug. After I insert my PCMCIA soundcard
(Audigy 2 ZS), ok the sound automatically swaps to the secondary card,
but still volume control is changed for the integrated card. I need to
go to Sound Preferences, to the Output tab and the switch the card. The
the volume control considers the secondary card.

[Bug 568338] Re: [lucid] Nokia E51 not detected by network-manager

2010-04-22 Thread lol24h
In /lib/udev/rules.d there's no rule to make the system to probe device. The
fix is to make that rule when loading certain drivers.
77-nm-probe-modem-capabilities.rules :
DRIVERS==option|sierra|hso|cdc_acm|qcserial|moto-modem, GOTO=probe

Probably this problem considers also other modems.

2010-04-11 Thread lol24h
It seems that they fixed that in newest update. Version: 195.36.15-0ubuntu2.
But still there's a problem with my PCMCIA card.
About you, I think you should try either newest update (including proposed
repo) or post a new bug.

[Bug 558733] Re: [Lucid] Resume after suspend not working on T61 ( nvidia )

2010-04-10 Thread lol24h
Ok, it seems that the problem is my additional soundcard SB Audigy 2 ZS
Notebook [SB0530]. If I put it out the suspend and the resume works perfectly
fine.
Therefore I suggest the Audio Team should take care of it. It was working
perfectly fine on Karmic Koala (9.10) and the previous.

[Bug 558733] [NEW] [Lucid] Resume after suspend not working on T61 ( nvidia )

2010-04-08 Thread lol24h
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.32-19-generic-pae

On Lucid Lynx Beta-1, the suspend doesn't work on Thinkpad T61 with nvidia
card. According to this link it should
http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Installing_Ubuntu_10.04_%28Lucid_Lynx%29_on_a_ThinkPad_T61

But, this considers amd64 platform:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/346310.
I use x86 version, after update I got kernel 2.6.32-19-generic-pae and tried
also 2.6.32-19-generic. The drivers are nvidia proprietary drivers.
In my case:
* screen is blank, backlight turned on
* no response on Caps Lock, completely hanged.

[Bug 464949] Re: Popping or clicking sound in Audigy 4

2010-03-17 Thread lol24h
I got the same on Audigy 2 ZS Notebook. I described it here
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/503165 . It's
definetely rather case of alsa rather than pulseaudio.

Anyone can take care of this, please ?! I think this consider most of
the people with emu10k1 based cards!

[Bug 503165] Re: click sound on Audigy 2 ZS on playing every new sound

2010-01-05 Thread lol24h
I think it's not rightly described. I'm not sure if it's pulseaudio or
alsa problem (or driver). Moreoever i notice now that it doesn't really
occurs on the beginning but on the end on sound. Like ... when there's
not other sounds in pipe, the device is shut down or something it is not
hearable on speakers but it disturbs when listening on headphones. For
example it's very annoying playing counter strike, and you hear that
bomb ticking and each sound has this distortion on end of playing.

[Bug 503165] Re: click sound on Audigy 2 ZS on playing every new sound

2010-01-05 Thread lol24h
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: pulseaudio

This happens to me since I remember. It only occurs on Audigy 2 ZS
(PCMCIA) card, on Intel HDA integrated card everything works fine. Now I
see noboby reported it before. It's kind of pop, click, very short
distortion on playing each sound. It wasn't so annoying until it was
- music or movie ( only on beginning it was hearable). But in game new
- some come every second.
+ music or movie ( only on the end, it was hearable, on closing). But in
+ game new some come every second.

  Please give me some advice.

[Bug 503165] [NEW] click sound on Audigy 2 ZS on playing every new sound

2010-01-04 Thread lol24h
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

This happens to me since I remember. It only occurs on Audigy 2 ZS
(PCMCIA) card, on Intel HDA integrated card everything works fine. Now I
see noboby reported it before. It's kind of pop, click, very short
distortion on playing each sound. It wasn't so annoying until it was
music or movie ( only on beginning it was hearable). But in game new
some come every second.

Please give me some advice.
