[Bug 516280] Re: Very slow printing of PDF files with evince
I can confirm this problem as well, with an HP Photosmart C135 and Ubuntu 10.10 x64, 2.6.35-22. This definitely looks like it's a problem with the way evince spools the job, since using xpdf solves the problem for me too. With evince the job would take an absurd amount of time. I also tried changing my print driver from hpcups to hpijs on the advice of some forum instructions, but it didn't seem to make a difference. This is surprising to me, as I've really never had printing problems, HP or otherwise, with 10.04 or previous versions. -- Very slow printing of PDF files with evince https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/516280 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I can confirm this as well - I'd imagine this is a simple fix. -- update-manager reports upgrading to version 9.10 when updating to lucid from karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/500709 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 274398] Re: Depends on no-longer-built libgdl-gnome-1-0 package
Sorry to add another comment, but I just thought I'd chime in. I had this problem when I tried to use the apt line from Miro's site, rather than the repos. It appears to work fine as long as you don't use the direct source. -- Depends on no-longer-built libgdl-gnome-1-0 package https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274398 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 230742] [NEW] gnome-panel causes X lockup
Public bug reported: This is on 8.04 Hardy, but I've seen this problem for several months (ever since I upgraded from Gutsy to Hardy Beta, 2.6.24-16-generic). I generally do updates daily. When selecting an open window in the Window List (on the bottom panel for me), X will freeze up entirely. The mouse will move, but nothing responds at all, and even control+alt+backspace does nothing - I have to do a hard reset. The lockup doesn't happen every time a window is selected, but it happens reliably enough for me to not use the Window List at all. I've been using AWN to switch between programs in the meantime, but I much prefer gnome-panel; I'd rather not hear the constant hey, is that a Mac? comments from the un-initiated. Can anyone relate? ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: This is on 8.04 Hardy, but I've seen this problem for several months (ever since I upgraded from Gutsy to Hardy Beta, 2.6.24-16-generic). [Bug 215875] Re: Hardy Beta. Every reboot adds underscores
I have the same problem, on 2.6.24-16-generic, Hardy beta. ls in /media, for example, returns the following (among other things): CAMCARD CAMCARD_ CAMCARD__ CAMCARD___ CAMCARD CAMCARD_ CAMCARD__ CAMCARD___ CAMCARD CAMCARD_ CAMCARD__ CAMCARD___ CAMCARD CAMCARD_ CAMCARD__ CAMCARD___ CAMCARD CAMCARD_ CAMCARD__ CAMCARD___ CAMCARD CAMCARD_ CAMCARD__ CAMCARD___ CAMCARD CAMCARD_ CAMCARD__ CAMCARD___ CAMCARD CAMCARD_ CAMCARD__ CAMCARD___ CAMCARD CAMCARD_ CAMCARD__ CAMCARD___ CAMCARD CAMCARD_ CAMCARD__ CAMCARD___ CAMCARD CAMCARD_ CAMCARD__ CAMCARD___ CAMCARD CAMCARD_ CAMCARD__ CAMCARD___ CAMCARD CAMCARD_ (CAMCARD is the name of my built-in camera card reader). I'll have to try bekhongdeokinh's partial solution...it sounds like a recent update may have eliminated the re-appearing of these abnormal names on reboot. -- Hardy Beta.
