Upgraded to 12.10 with gnome-shell and the same problem appears. The
issue occurs randomly without being able to understand what triggers it.
The proposed fix in #120 didn' work for me.

The proposed workround in #120 did not work for me. This bug is really
annoying - every time it happens it locks up the pc. I am running Ubuntu
desktop 12.04.1 x64.

I am using 11.04 x64 without unity and without compiz. At some point
xorg was using 4Gb of RAM!

It happens
It happens for me as well with soapui 3.6.1 - when an popup dialog
opens.

unity-window-decorator crashes with SIGSEGV when closing Java
This is happening for me quite often - can't determine the actual steps
to replicate. The interesting thing is that on the workstation that this
bug occurs I have the ATI catalyst driver installed. On my laptop with
the nvidia driver is has never happened.
The above happens with both the Ubuntu
I would like this bug to be re-opened. I get the same error after installing
ecryptfs-utils and I can't remove it.
I am using x64 Jaunty 9.04. Since installing the package, sometimes I can't
even login after locking my screen - it just hangs.
