What are the ownership/permissions on /etc/at.deny and
/var/spool/cron/atjobs?
This machine is several years old and was recently upgraded from the
previous LTS release (14.10?).

However, at is reporting that I do not have permission:

If I add /etc/at.allow with my username in it, I get a permission denied
error creating the job f
Can confirm this happens on the MX4 and that a reboot fixes it.

proprietary driver to use my wifi. Unfortunately, after enabling the
install media as a software source in Software & Updates, I was still

Hi,
I had the same issue today and finally found a solution.
The problem is with the kerberos ticket file ownership.
When mount is called using sudo, cifs.upcall searchs for a cache file owned by
root.
Using the cruid option when calling mount.cifs, you can specify the ownership
to search/use.
I can confirm that this issue is still present running the following
versions:
Ubuntu 13.10
gnome-shell
Architecture: amd64
Version: 3.8.4-0ubuntu5

Thanks Chase but please note that adding firmware files is not
sufficient on 64bits. To make the wireless card work on 64bits, we need
to use the driver provided by Realtek.

sends by mail a driver compatible with 64bits to people who contact the
support.
I mailed them today and Realtek (kidman) sends me the driver v14 which
works on 64 bits (tested on kubuntu lucid).
