[Bug 512315] Re: Cant Change Password of existing user

2010-02-10 Thread mciancio
I noticed this issue with users-admin in the case I changed my password
with a similar one.

Trying with passwd from the console I get:

#~$ passwd
Changing password for max.
(current) UNIX password:
Enter new UNIX password:
Retype new UNIX password:
Bad: new password must be different than the old one
Enter new UNIX password:

Trying with users-admin the button goes grey and just stays there waiting.
In this way the issue is easily reproducible.

2008-03-03 Thread mciancio
Sorry, I forgot: none of the above cases has occurred for me.
No floppy, no cd, no live cd. Th system worked until 2-3 weeks ago. Now it
hangs.
If I press some keys it restarts the shutdown procedure then goes back to the
same point where it hangs.
I must shutdown it with the alt-sysreq-s and alt-sysreq-o procedure

I'll try this ec_intr=0.

In the meanwhile this three actions worked for me:

2) increased repeat keystrokes delay
3) disabled many unuseful sw which overloaded the host

and the problem is disappeared.
