[Bug 533552] Re: Ubuntu default font is too big

2010-03-12 Thread mclaud2000
I like the current font size, It makes no sense to have smaller fonts on
current monitor sizes. On a 19" or 21" monitor there's plenty of room
for applications, no need to shrink the font size.

[Bug 520003] Re: Teeworlds license is non-free. It should be in multiverse.

2010-02-13 Thread mclaud2000
Thanks for your comments, but I still think the license of the Teeworlds
program is free, here's my to your comments:

Christoph Egger: I read the OFL and the commentary of the FSF at
http://www.fsf.org/licensing/licenses/index_html#Fonts but the FSF nor
SIL recommend to use it for software, only for fonts.

Ansgar Burchardt: You're talking about the Artistic License 1.0
http://www.perlfoundation.org/artistic_license_1_0 . That license isn't
considered as a free software license by the FSF
http://www.fsf.org/licensing/licenses/index_html#NonFreeSoftwareLicense,
only the version 2.0 http://www.perlfoundation.org/artistic_license_2_0

Again, thanks for your interest.

PS. I marked the bug as invalid because I thought that Ansgar Burchard
proved my bug invalid, then I found the text of the artistic license
2.0. I apologize for my lack of research.

2010-02-10 Thread mclaud2000
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: teeworlds

Hello

In the copyright file of teeworlds, the 4th item in the license:

4. Neither this software nor any of its individual components, in original
or modified versions, may be sold by itself.

This makes teeworlds non-free software, because as stated in
http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.html : "you should be free to
redistribute copies, either with or without modifications, either gratis
or charging a fee for distribution, to anyone anywhere."

Please move it to the multiverse repository.

[Bug 496966] [NEW] Include Amaya Web Editor (amaya-11.3.1) in Ubuntu

2009-12-15 Thread mclaud2000
Public bug reported:

Amaya is a Web editor, i.e. a tool used to create and update documents
directly on the Web. Browsing features are seamlessly integrated with
the editing and remote access features in a uniform environment. This

not just a one-way publishing medium.

[Bug 18780] Re: Browser: tree view rendering problem

2009-07-05 Thread mclaud2000
No really, this is serious, other file managers have the right
behaviour:

* Konqueror, was KDE default before being replaced with dolphin.
* Thunar, the default file manager in xfce.

* And everyone's favourite: Windows Explorer since Windows 95 and File
Manager in Windows 3.1 and probably earlier.

(Those are the ones I've used. There are probably other file managers
that have the right behaviour)

This is not a: "Well if you like that feature that much, just change
your file manager". Other file managers that are default in other
desktop environments can do this right, why the gnome default file
manager can't?

PS: Well Dolphin, the new default KDE file manager does have the wrong
behaviour of nautilus, shame on it.

[Bug 359883] [NEW] rtl8187b does not work with ipv6 enabled

2009-04-11 Thread mclaud2000
Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu 8.10, both 32 and 64 bit editions, using a Realtek rtl8187b
usb device (0bda:8189), the adapter associates and establishes a
connection with the router fine, but after a few seconds stops working.

Checking the syslog I found that the adapter stops working the exact
moment an ipv6 address is assigned to it. Blacklisting the ipv6 module
solves the problem, however, ipv6 support is obviously lost, which is a
tad inconvenient.

Using the same device in Ubuntu 8.10 32 bit with the Microsoft Windows
driver (using ndiswrapper) works fine, including ipv6 support.

So I guess it is a bug in the rtl8187b linux driver.
