[Bug 771905] Re: No logo at boot on nvidia card

2011-04-30 Thread mfabry
Same here. During startup I get a blue screen with number 11.04 and 4 dots in upper left corner instead of nice Kubuntu Plymouth logo. I use 1680x1050 resolution on Nvidia 8800GT and proprietary drivers. Used to work fine in Lucid. Uvesafb mode gives me a black screen during startup and normal

Sadly the latest version of Calibre (0.7.17) crashes X server completely after yesterday's update. Kovid suggested that the problem might be caused by qt libraries. It's a bit difficult to give any specific details - all relevant logs are pretty uninformative. -- Update calibre version on ubuntu

[Bug 280997] Re: solid-bluetooth needs update for bluez 4.x

I noticed one strange thing about data transfer to my phone. Usually I had to accept incoming connection first and then incoming transmission and received data. With new kdebluetooth I only have to accept incoming connection. Transfer itself is silent and data are automatically saved in default

I've just installed latest Intrepid packages (KDE 4.1.4). I was able to pair devices (handheld and mobile) with my desktop. Unfortunately that's about it. File transfer doesn't work well and I don't get any (significant) error messages. I was trying to send files from my computer as well as

I've got exactly the same problem on Hardy. It has probably something to do with permission rights. I can manually eject my usb stick with sudo (from console), but I cannot do the same without it. To unmount the device however I don't need sudo. My guess is one of the recent upgrades was messed
