[Bug 1767299] Re: Ubuntu 18.04-20.04 Installer creates swap partition too small
I experienced the same issue on a fresh default install of 20.04 on a laptop with 4GB RAM (LVM, whole disk encryption...). Applications started (practically) freezing after some pretty light domestic use (a few Chrome tabs, Spotify...), with the memory and 1GB swap at 100%. Setting up a 4GB swap file (the recommended size in my case) as described above has solved the issue. However it seems a shame for Ubuntu that a default install doesn't seem to be appropriate for getting decent (or even acceptable) performance from what I guess is a pretty standard set-up. Why not use the recommended swap size by default? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1767299 Title: Ubuntu 18.04-20.04 Installer creates swap partition too small To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/partman-auto/+bug/1767299/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1689825] Re: gnome-keyring not unlocked on boot
The following seems to have got me running normally again. On my machine I'm unable to get any of the above workarounds to unlock the keyring. [Bug 1689825] Re: gnome-keyring not unlocked on boot
I am experiencing the same issue on one of my two machines. The 'Password and Keys' padlock icon next to 'Login' remains locked even with the correct password, and I'm unable to use Chrome, access e-mail etc.. I'm no expert but, in case it helps, these are two differences between the two machines I'm aware of... - the machine with the problem has an encrypted installation and the other not. Otherwise both installations are similar (basic 16.04 and not much else) - if I enter "ps aux | grep keyring" I get two 'gnome-keyring-daemon' processes listed on the problem machine (one for user 'lightdm' and one for myself), and only one on the machine without the problem (user is myself) The machine with the problem is almost useless for the moment - would be great to get a solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1689825 Title: gnome-keyring not unlocked on boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1689825/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1565423] [NEW] Display does not fit on my HDTV via HDMI Input
Public bug reported: I am using a Insignia NS-32LCD(HDTV) as my Monitor, through an H.D.M.I. Input and HDMI Cable from my Video Card. The options for resolution do not give me enough options in the menu, s that the display of the desktop fits properly on my screen. I know there is ways to alter the video resolution files, but that was so 2007, I don't think I remember how to do that anymore. I may look for an Ubuntu How-to Guide somewhere. Also, maybe you don't want people to have to do that anymore, search for a users manual or alter the video files.
