That fixed the issue.  My configuration is the same as shown in the
image link. I changed the profile in pavucontrol as Analog surround 4.0
output + analog stereo input.

Raymond,
 I would not able to understand much of the sound system although I am a 
developer. Now is it because of the last changes in the remixing that I

Instead of trying to prove yourself right try to see some of the other comments 
who have had the same problem. Its just not intuitive. Gcalctool  wins in

Take for eg my casio fx100w. It shows the -5 as I type. No enter. No equal to.

  Please try to understand that the problem is not mapping but the display.  
The display has to show the negative sign when I click '-' and not simply show

  When I click -5 in kcalc it shows as 5 and only when I press = will it show

Just a simple program below will cause it.
