[Bug 313413] Re: [intrepid] Random segfaults in sound-juicer
hi, also got this issue.. looks like a simple AppArmor issue. I didn't solved it, but just disabled AppArmor completely (I would say thats not recommended). But hopefully this is good information for people used to tweak AppArmor ;) https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AppArmor Thanks, Markus -- [intrepid] Random segfaults in sound-juicer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/313413 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 290062] [NEW] installer seems to ignore proxy-settings
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree Package: flashplugin-nonfree 10.0.12.36ubuntu1 hi, when installing flashplugin-nonfree on intrepid, the install-process ignores the proxy-settings of both /etc/apt/apt.conf and any .wgetrc. It looks like the installer uses an old wget-version, which ignores the proxy-settings. If the installation is done by synaptic, no error is reported on installation. To test this behavior try: - connect to a network where no direct internet access is possible but trough a http-proxy - set proxy settings in /etc/apt/sources.list and /home/YourUser/.wgetrc and /root/.wgetrc - sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree The only way I found to enable the flashplugin is to re-install it when connected to the internet without using a proxy. [Bug 284872] [NEW] [Intrepid] sleep/hibernation mode not available / not working
Public bug reported: There is a new way for log-out/restart in intrepix, the menu changed. Please see attached screenshot. Within this menu, there is no option for sleep (ACPI powersave mode) or hibernation (suspend-to-disk). Also, this menu is currently not translated to German if using the German language packs/settings. Tested on x86 (32bit) - notebook hp/compaq nx7010 (relatively old) - notebook hp/compaq 8510p (relatively new) - PC hp/compaq d530 (relatively old) - self-build PC (amd-system w. nvidia board) (relatively new) Any help/ideas would be highly appreciated! [Bug 204624] Re: CAPI not working correctly on Ubuntu hardy (8.04)
I can recreate the issue on two different PCs with two different AVM Fritzcard PCI. Some other users like in the german ubuntu forum do have also this problems. See http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/168953/ (german). Google fills up with the reports also. If possible, I would set the importance to high or at least middle as a lot of users which use ISDN landlines to connect have these problems. In the meantime it could also (sometimes) help to download http://rapidshare.de/files/39255014/AVM-Fritz.tar.gz.html and use $cd /usr/src/AVM-Fritz/fcpci-3.11.07 $sudo make $sudo make install $sudo depmod -a $modprobe -l | grep fcpci to install the module. On my one of my PCs i had to remove linux- restriced-modules at all to get it working (now other issues are coming up with that...). Solution was provided by the user DeJe in the german ubuntuusers forum. -- CAPI not working correctly on Ubuntu hardy (8.04) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204624 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
